Born in Brooklyn, Pat Arnao is a New York artist based in Harlem. A teacher, designer and gilder; she looks for tremendous beauty in simple things.
Arnao has worked in the US and internationally, with exhibitions in the US, Germany, Italy, Turkey, and Bulgaria.
She was the recipient of a two year studio at the Kunstlerhaus in Dortmund, Germany, and remains an artist in network there. She has received two Chashama studio awards in New York City (2008 and 2011), two Caravansari residencies in Istanbul, Turkey (2010 and 2012) a V4L Residency in West Virginia, (2023) and an upcoming residency at the High Desert Test Site (2024) in the Joshua Tree, CA.
